Jonathan Stewart grew up in Echo Bay, Ontario on a country farm with his parents, Harold and Martha, and two sisters, Laura and Ruth-Marie. In more recent years, his parents farmed in Thessalon alongside the Thessalon River.

Jonathan has worked as Director of Production for a sportscard manufacturing company; Export & Purchasing Manager for Manna International, a soybean and speciality organic grains exporting company; and has managed numerous companies over the years.

Jonathan served as Founding Director of the International Association of Character Cities (IACC), an organization committed to supporting government leaders with character-based resources and training for community-wide character initiatives. Jonathan traveled throughout the United States and other countries working with officials in developing strategies to build character in over 150 jurisdictions that adopted the program. Jonathan was Director of Government Relations and Assistant to the President of an international non-profit in Chicago for over 5 years.

Strongly connected to Agriculture, Jonathan also served as Workshop Leader for the Ontario Soil and Crop Improvement Association, and is involved in the establishment of a new canola crushing plant in Bruce Mines.

Jonathan began his real estate career in 2004, first working with Evelyn Miller. With Evelyn’s help, support, and counsel, Jonathan soon established himself as an honest, pragmatic, efficient, and respected practitioner in the real estate field east of Sault Ste. Marie. Specializing in rural, agricultural, land development, and waterfront real estate, the work offers endless learning and many interesting opportunities.

Jonathan is married to Marney (Nadjiwon), and the couple reside on St. Joe Island, where they volunteer as Executive Directors of All Tribes Christian Camp, a community camp and retreat center for all ages. Jonathan and Marney attend St. Joseph Island Free Methodist Church and are actively involved.
